Our Habitat homes are lovingly constructed almost entirely by volunteers, with the support of dedicated, skilled Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa staff. It takes many hands to build a Habitat home.

VOLUNTEER ON OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS & COMMITTEES
Committees are vital to the success of Habitat Greater Ottawa and we rely heavily on the Board of Directors and Committees to fulfill our mandate. Volunteers on Habitat Greater Ottawa Committees are involved with fundraising, finance, land acquisition or family selection and partnering, depending on the talents they are willing to offer. Most committees meet once per month at our Belfast office. We post early spring for our Board of Directors and we have openings throughout the year for various committees. If you are interested in hearing about upcoming committee opportunities, please sign up here and we will notify you when we have a new opportunity to offer.

Interesting volunteer opportunities exist for students, recent graduates, working professionals and retirees to help out in our office on a variety of projects. We also support internships where possible!

Age Restrictions
Volunteer safety is a top priority for us and it is for this reason that we have age restrictions for our volunteers. We do not accept volunteers under the age of 16. Volunteers between 16-18 may volunteer on the build site, but they must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to work alongside them.
