Nantes Street Build Phase I – 2014

Habitat Greater Ottawa completed three homes on Nantes Street in Orléans in 2013.

Along with celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013, Habitat Greater Ottawa was proud to build three homes on Nantes Street in Orléans, which included one of the first urban Indigenous Builds in the province. The home was purchased by Ida Kakekagumick who is an Ojibwa-Cree from Northern Ontario with legal custody of her three grandchildren. The other two homes were purchased by a single mom and her two children and the Caceres, a family of six. The Dedication Ceremony for the Caceres family’s new home on Nantes Street took place in October 2013.
