Everyday there are amazing family-friendly activities happening in Ottawa, but finding the time and resources to participate can often be difficult. Now, with Habitat GO’s partnership with Kids Up Front, the children of our Habitat families will get the opportunity to take in all the arts, culture and fun this city has to offer.

This past March, Tereza’s family from Phase 1 of Leacross Landing, went on a memorable ski trip to Camp Fortune. Tereza and her children Kennedy, Emma and Chayse enjoyed an action-packed day, which included professional ski lessons, a BBQ lunch and lift tickets. Kids Up Front also provided transportation to and from the hill and covered equipment rentals.

“We had a blast,” said Tereza who had nothing but praise for how the day was organized.

Kids Up Front Ottawa is a brand-new charity whose mission is to provide free access to arts, culture and sporting events for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to attend. Kids Up Front provides access to events by collecting donated tickets from venues, companies and individuals, and then redistributing the experiences to deserving children and families through their network of 51 child-serving partnering agencies.
