Do you like hanging out at your local hardware store, enjoy active, physical work or are looking for a way to complete your student volunteer hours? If yes, sign up to become a ReStore volunteer!
We have many volunteer positions to offer at our ReStore such as assisting our driver with picking up donations across the city or helping in the warehouse with receiving, sorting, recycling prepping and repairing. We also have volunteer positions in the retail space assisting with greeting, cashier support and merchandising.
When you help out at Habitat ReStore, you help your community. ReStore proceeds cover a portion of Habitat Greater Ottawa’s operating costs, so your donations can go directly toward building affordable homes.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind about Volunteering at the ReStore:
- Our ReStore Orientation is mandatory for new volunteers and must be completed before signing up for your first shift. Orientations are held monthly at all ReStore locations. Once you sign up to become a volunteer, you will receive an email invite with more information.
- All volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Volunteers 14 and 15 are welcome to volunteer alongside a parent/guardian.
- We ask for a regular commitment of a 4-hour shift, every week or every second week. Shifts available 7 days a week!
- Volunteers are required to provide and wear their own CSA approved steel toe boots.
