volunteering at the build
Our Habitat homes are lovingly constructed almost entirely by volunteers, with the support of dedicated, skilled Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa staff. It takes many hands to build a Habitat home. We have opportunities for skilled and unskilled volunteer.
Volunteer on our build site
We will have new opportunities for individual volunteers in the spring/summer 2019 when we begin Phase III of our current build project.
Our build in Orleans, Leacross Landing, is our largest development to date with plans to build 16-townhouse units. We completed Phase I of the build in July 2018 and our first four townhouses. Phase II of the build broke ground in June 2018 and we are working on finishing 4 new townhouses this spring 2019. Phase III will begin in the spring/summer, where we'll be constructing the final 8 homes in this development.
For this role, there is no previous experience required and all of the equipment, training and safety gear you need for the day is provided.
